A Solid Fluid

A Solid Fluid is a blend of vocal, visual and instrumental offerings from Xolo Spkq who crafts downtempo blends of African and Caribbean melodies, reggae warmth, and electronic folk textures—immersing listeners into Afrofuturistic soundscapes that echo the movement’s vision of ancestral reconnection, African and African Caribbean identity, and Spiritual liberation of the Soul.

About Xolo Spkq

Xolo Spkq (pronounced Zolo Speak) is a sonic voyager and multidisciplinary musician from Birmingham, UK. A singer-songwriter, electronic and live performer, reggae alchemist, percussionist, and folk storyteller, his work dissolves boundaries between tradition and innovation. A proponent of he’s ‘reggae, jazzy, folky stylee’ and Afro-futuristic influences, Xolo weaves airy African and Caribbean melodies with hypnotic beats, shimmering synths, and ancestral echoes that carry the listener across time and space.

Since his re-emergence in 2018, Xolo has released a body of work that fuses music, history, and spirit into immersive experiences. Each album, single, and video acts as a ritual of sound—where rhythm becomes memory, melody becomes meditation, and the listener is invited into new states of reflection and resonance.

Now, Xolo turns his vision toward his forthcoming projects, ‘A Solid Fluid’ (primarily a vocal EP offering); Dragon’s Myst (an instrumental/Dub album) and “Boxed In History”; Poems & instrumentals from a host of collaborators.

All set for release in  early 2026, the three Albums/EPs will be accompanied by a series of adjoining videos: “Reimagining Afro-futurism”, that seeks to reconnect the African diaspora with their African ancestry and explore the complexities of African/African Caribbean identity in the face of historical and ongoing challenges.

With this work, Xolo continues to shape a language of music and visuals that is both deeply rooted and endlessly futuristic—a solid fluid, flowing between the myst of worlds.
